Open Access Policy

1. Open-Access Principles

Open Veterinary Journal (OVJ) fully embraces open-access principles to maximize the dissemination and impact of scientific knowledge. All published content is freely and permanently accessible to readers worldwide without subscription, registration, or payment.

Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to full-text articles, or use content for non-commercial purposes without prior permission from the authors or the journal. This policy aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and promotes equitable access to scientific research globally.

2. Online Accessibility and Article Identification

All OVJ articles are made available online immediately upon publication. To ensure persistent access, discoverability, and reliable citation, each article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref.

3. Licensing and Usage

All articles in OVJ are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). Under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, users are free to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for non-commercial purposes.

By adopting open-access principles and CC BY-NC 4.0 licensing, OVJ ensures that research is freely accessible, widely disseminated, and legally reusable, fostering transparency, collaboration, and the advancement of veterinary science worldwide.
